A Note From The Principal-

As we start looking ahead to the 2012-2013 school year some parents may be interested in requesting their child’s teacher. There is a change this year, so please read carefully. Because of budgeting and federal funding the teacher request form will not be available on May 1st as expected. In the past, parents had the opportunity throughout the summer to request teachers. I feel very strongly that our teachers, in collaboration with parent input, can create class lists that are not only best for individual children, but BEST for ALL children. Please know, we will do our best to meet the needs of all students and we ask parents to understand that teacher requests are only one factor in making class lists.

The window for requesting a teacher for next year is May 14th –May 29th. Request forms can be picked up in the office on May 14th. You are asked to make two choices when you complete a teacher request form. Forms with only one choice marked will be considered incomplete and the request may not get honored.

**Spring Concert Location Change**

The MAES students have begun preparations for their spring concerts. The concerts will be on Mon. May 14 at 7:00 PM for grades 1 and 2 and on Tues. May 15 at 7:00 PM for grades 3 and 4, both in the MAHS auditorium .
