Assignment Books/ Folders
Please check assignment books and  take home folders daily.  The assignment book is my main method of communication.  If you have a note for the teacher, please put it in the assignment book. I check those daily.  Please empty the take-home folder each night.  It helps the students to know their work will be looked at by a parent.  It also keeps the parents informed of their child’s work and what is happening in the classroom.
The students have the opportunity to go to the library daily.  I encourage them to read and use this opportunity.  It takes a lot of practice to become a good reader. The students are responsible for keeping track of their books.  Lost and damaged books will need to be paid for; so please take good care of the library

My Philosophy of Education
All children have the right to learn in a safe
environment.  Children learn more when they are engaged in the learning process.  It is my hope that
students will be active participants in the learning process in my room.  I will strive to make learning interesting, engaging, and challenging. It is my desire to help students reach their full potential by creating an environment that supports risk taking and the sharing of ideas.  I strive to work with parents to create a partnership that aids students in their learning.  That is my philosophy of education.
