Weekly Fitness Component
WOW - Workout of the Week!!
At least 2 days a week each class will complete our WOW at the end of the period. WOW is designed to provide quick cardio burst type workouts that will enhance each student's fitness level. Student's are encouraged to improve their scores throughout the week on an individual basis.
Week 1: 1 minute - 10 Knee Tucks; 5 Burpees
Week 2: 1 minute - 10 Squat Jumps; 5 push-ups
Week 3: 1 minute - 20 line jumps; sprint/back peddle (sideline to sideline)
Week 4: 2 minutes - 20 high knees, 10 split jumps, 1 sprint (s to s)
Week 5: 2 minutes - 5 push-ups; 10 sit-ups; 1 lap
Week 6: 2 minutes - 30 sec. plank; 10 split jumps; 1 sprint
Week 7: 3 minutes - 30 sec. push-ups, 30 sec. sit-ups; 30sec. plank x2
Week 8: 3 minutes - sprint down; back peddle back; 10 jumping jacks
