Minnewaska Area Schools has an opening for an ASL Interpreter. Provide interpretation of the instructional tasks assigned and facilitation of the communication that takes place in the classroom. Prefer Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Inc. (RID) certified interpreter but will accept an applicant who has successfully completed an interpreter-training program affiliated with an accredited educational institution or someone willing to complete the training. Experience with primary students, collaboration skills, and knowledge of cued speech to facilitate early learning speech and reading activities is a plus. This position is available beginning the 2024-2025 school year.

Looking at going into child care or education? Working as a site aide gives you the opportunity to work with children of a variety of ages and abilities. Site aides will work closely with site leaders. You must be able to communicate well, engage young people, and have fun. The position will be 20 – 30 hrs per week. Schedules are flexible. First aid/CPR is required and provided before the start date. Program hours are 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
