6th Annual Day of Caring

With a commitment to community collaboration and service, Minnewaska Area Schools is proud to host the 6th Annual Day of Caring on May 1 and May 2.

The Day of Caring brings MAS students and staff together to make meaningful contributions to our local communities by completing projects requested by community members. Projects may include tasks such as washing ground floor windows, yard work including raking, gardening and other outdoor tasks.

“We look forward to this event each year as it’s a way we can give back to our community and express our thanks for their support,” says Superintendent Chip Rankin. “Day of Caring also embodies our educational mission of encouraging an attitude of gratitude and fostering genuine appreciation.”

New this year — Day of Caring projects will be completed over the course of two days: grades 7-12 on May 1 and grades K-6 on May 2.

Community members may request projects by completing the registration form by April 24. If selected, volunteers will arrive between 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on your designated day. If you have additional questions, please reach out to Sarah Suchy at 320.239.4800 or email dayofcaring@isd2149.org. Volunteers are ready to work rain or shine!
