Community Invited to Minnewaska Area School Board Tech Levy Information Session

The Minnewaska Area School Board invites the community to attend an important information session scheduled for October 4. The meeting will include information regarding the proposed renewal and increase of the current Minnewaska Area Schools technology levy — the source of dedicated funding for tech solutions for MAS students and staff.

If approved to be renewed by voters on November 7, the tech levy would continue to provide MAS with $350,000 annually over the next ten years. If approved for renewal plus an increase, this would give the renewal amount plus an additional $500,000 annually over the next ten years. This level of funding would allow the district to purchase, upgrade, and support a wide range of technology for MAS over the next decade.

All residents are encouraged to attend this event. There will also be a dedicated public comment time during the session, allowing community members to share their thoughts, questions, and feedback with the School Board.
