Strengthening Community Connections Through Shared Facilities
Engaging Every Student, Every Day extends beyond classroom hours. Our schools are community gathering places where students continue learning through involvement in activities. The bond referendum invests in spaces serving our entire community while supporting student engagement.
Key community-focused improvements include:
• Multi-Purpose Space: Flexible space for physical education classes, pickleball, youth activities, and community recreation
• Weight Room and Rehabilitation Space: Updated fitness facilities for athletes and community wellness programs
• Pool Maintenance: Updating critical filtration systems to ensure continued operation
• Auditorium Updates: Replacing aging seating for improved comfort during performances and events
• Accessible Facilities: Ensuring all community members can fully participate in available spaces
The multi-purpose space would serve multiple functions: physical education classes, pickleball with removable nets, and youth activities that could accommodate earlier practice times. A well-maintained auditorium can showcase student talents and host community events. A properly functioning pool supports swim team training, family swimming lessons, and senior fitness classes.
The proposed multi-purpose space would provide needed capacity for expanding community education programs. With 31 activities offered at the high school alone, adequate facilities are essential for engaging students in athletics, arts, and extracurriculars.
Student engagement happens everywhere: in classrooms, on stages, in pools, and on courts. When we maintain these shared spaces, we invest in countless ways to engage students and strengthen our community.
Thank you for your continued engagement in this important decision. Together, we’re building the foundation for engaging every student, every day.
