Tate Card Named New Head Coach of Laker Wrestling

Minnewaska Area Schools is proud to announce the hiring of Tate Card as the new Head Coach of Laker Wrestling, pending school board approval. Coach Card will officially take the helm at the start of the 2025–26 school year, following the retirement of longtime coach and leader, Chip Rankin.

Coach Rankin concluded an exceptional coaching career at the end of last season, leaving behind a legacy of competitive excellence, mentorship, and unwavering dedication to the Laker Wrestling program. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Coach Rankin for his years of leadership and the positive impact he has made on countless student-athletes.

Coach Card brings passion, energy, and a strong commitment to student growth—both on and off the mat. As he steps into this new role, we are confident that he will continue to build on the proud tradition of Laker Wrestling while inspiring the next generation of athletes.
