Bringing the Workplace into the Classroom

Minnewaska Area Schools is proud to introduce the Practical Assessment Exploration System (PAES) Lab at Minnewaska High School. The PAES Lab provides a structured environment for students to gain hands-on work experience in five career field areas: business/marketing, computer/technology, construction/industrial, processing/production, and customer service. This simulated work assessment allows students to experience and practice job skills that help prepare them for the work outside of the classroom as well as assist them in finding direction for their desired career paths. The goal is for students to discover their strengths while honing their problem-solving skills.

The PAES Lab is offered primarily to students in 8th -12th grades. Students access the lab multiple days per week.
